This week I’m delighted to be co-chairing a major Govtech event in London, attended by government ministers and directors, and other national and regional government representatives

The invitation to take part is on the back of my latest book AI and the Future of the Public Sector. The particular focus of my session is on digital networks, regtech, and talent management. I cover all these, and others, in my book.

GovTech 2022 aims to bridge the gap between public policy and cutting-edge technology.

The joy of being Chair is that you get the chance to top and tail the event with opening and closing remarks, and to ease the panel discussions along, but without having to do the heavy lifting of a presentation. But readers shouldn’t under-estimate the amount of preparation that takes place behind the scenes relative to research and pre-panel chats.

For me, the wider GovTech storyboard is vital.

It depends on multiple key pillars of policy, technology, connectivity, and communication. The challenge is not only what needs to be done, but more how it will be implemented. How well this happens might affect the lives of many millions in the future.

No wonder that I’m excited.

An excellent event, well attended with a considerable degree of energy. I enjoyed it very much !
